Bio

Fiorella Del Castillo (1996) es una fotógrafa peruana. Utiliza snapshots en 35mm, autorretratos y experimentaciones con la película fotográfica para trabajar alrededor de temas autobiográficos. A través de estos medios quiere capturar desesperadamente su presencia y todo lo que sucede a su alrededor. Generar pequeños rastros de presencia al registrar el tiempo o al dejar sus huellas dactilares en el material fotográfico. “Esto pasó y aquí estuve.”

En el 2017 se graduó de la carrera de Fotografía Profesional en el Centro de la Imagen. En el 2018 cursó el diploma de Estudios en Arte, Crítica y Cultura Contemporánea en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Lima. Formó parte del colectivo editorial O Zine desde el 2018 al 2019. Actualmente se dedica a la producción de publicaciones independientes de fotografía y a su obra personal.

Through these means she desperately wants to capture her presence and everything that happens around her. In 2017, she graduated from the career of Professional Photography at Centro de la Imagen in Lima, Perú. In 2018 she completed the Diploma of Studies in Contemporary Art, Criticism and Culture at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lima. She has also taken different workshops on photobook publishing, the Book Dummy Workshop at KWY Editions with Thomas Locke Hobbs, the RISO / ZINE Workshop at Penumbra Foundation with Kevin Kunstadt, and A Common Language: The Photo-Text Book at Penumbra Foundation with Alan Huck. She was part of the self-publishing collective O Zine from 2018 to 2019. She currently works in the production of independent photography publications and her personal work.
